Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- Seminars were held in India and Pakistan and a photo exhibition and a film show in Singapore between Jan. 26 and 30 on the occasion of General Secretary
Kim Jong Il's birthday.

Exhibited at their venues were works of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, photos on their undying feats and books introducing the validity and vitality of the Juche idea and the Songun idea and the advantages of the DPRK socialist system.

At a joint seminar of Indian Juche idea study organizations speakers said that February 16 is an auspicious holiday not only of the Korean people but also of the world's progressive people and the Juche idea followers aspiring after global peace and independence.

They highly praised the immortal feats of Kim Jong Il, saying that he is successfully carrying forward to completion the cause of Kim Il Sung.

Noting that the Korean people are rallied as one in one idea around Kim Jong Il, they stressed that this single-minded unity can not be found in any other part of the world and it is more powerful than a nuke.

They stated that it is evidently the self-defensive step for peace of the Korean Peninsula that the DPRK has bolstered up its war deterrent under the banner of Songun. And they expressed full support for the DPRK's proposal for starting at an early date this year the talks on replacement of the Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty.

The chief of a Pakistani organization for the study of the Juche idea said at the seminar that
Kim Jong Il has defended the dignity of the independent Korean people by turning the DPRK into a military power able to defeat any imperialist aggression forces with his prominent Songun revolutionary leadership admired by the world.

A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the seminar in India.

Appreciated at the film show was Korean film "Great Honor and Happiness of Nation."
