Koreans in US Vow to Move for National Reunification
Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- The Federation of Koreans in the U.S. held the 14th general meeting on Jan. 23 calling for a more vigorous movement for national reunification this year.

A resolution read out at the general meeting referred to the fact that last year the Koreans struggled for independent reunification, peace and prosperity under the uplifted banner of the June 15 joint declaration.

The resolution noted that all the Koreans in the U.S. would get united to turn out in a vigorous struggle for the reunification of the divided country this year marking the 10th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration.

It noted that they would wage a movement for pressurizing the U.S. to roll back its hostile policy toward the DPRK and conclude a peace treaty throughout the U.S. in solidarity with various organizations of Koreans in the U.S. and the U.S. organizations for peace movement.

It stressed that the federation would make positive efforts to see the All-Korean Committee for Implementation of June 15 Joint Declaration gain in scope and strength and take the lead in the struggle for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country, aware of the duty it assumed before the nation.
