General Secretary Kim Jong Il, when visiting construction sites of the Huichon Power Station at the beginning of this year, appreciated the builders for creating a new advance speed of Songun Korea and encouraged them to give full play to the revolutionary spirit of the heroic country once again.

Such great advance speeds recorded in the history of the socialist construction in Korea as the Chollima speed, "Pyongyang speed", "vinalon speed" and "speed of the 1980s" were all created in the heroic efforts for implementing the ideas and intentions of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

The newly created "Huichon speed" that inspires the army and people to perform fresh miracles and feats is what the harmonious whole of the leader, the army and the people has brought about.

It, also a product of the revolutionary soldier spirit, reflects the unanimous desire and strong will of the Korean service personnel and people to build a thriving nation, a Juche-oriented socialist power, as early as possible and represents their gigantic spiritual strength for realizing the purpose.

All of them are now striving hard to effect a drastic turn in the improvement of the people's living standard so as to make this year marking the 65th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea as a prosperous year replete with the people's happiness, a year of weighty significance in the history of the building of a thriving nation.
