60 years of DPRK-Vietnam Diplomatic Ties Marked in hanoi
Pyongyang, January 29 (KCNA) -- A photo exhibition marking the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the DPRK and Vietnam was held in the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi on Jan. 22.

Displayed in the venue were photos on external activities conducted by President Kim Il Sung with President Ho Chi Minh and those done by General Secretary Kim Jong Il with General Secretary Nong Duc Manh as well as pictures on the immortal Songun leadership feats of Kim Jong Il.

Speeches were made at the opening ceremony.

The curator of the Museum said that the friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and the DPRK have steadily grown stronger since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries on Jan. 31, 1950, adding that the exhibition would help the Vietnamese people have a good understanding of the history of the development of the bilateral relations and achievements made by the Korean people in the defence of the country and socialist construction.

He expressed belief that the exhibition would contribute to boosting the friendly and cooperative relations between the parties, governments and peoples of the two countries.
