US Urged to Roll Back Its Hostile Policy
Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- Organizations for peace and reunification movement of south Korea held the 246th anti-U.S. and anti-war Friday rally for the pullback of the U.S. forces in front of the U.S. embassy in Seoul on Jan. 22.

A resolution read out at the rally referred to the fact that the DPRK in the recent statement of its Foreign Ministry proposed to the parties to the Armistice Agreement an early start of the talks for replacing the AA by a peace treaty.

It noted that had a durable peace regime been established earlier on the Korean Peninsula, the nuclear issue would not have surfaced.

Saying that the U.S. is to blame for tension and confrontation on the peninsula, it urged the U.S. to admit this and take a measure to replace the AA with a peace treaty as soon as possible.

The U.S. attitude casts doubt as to whether it truly wants the denuclearization and peace regime or not, it noted.

It urged the U.S. to lift sanctions against the DPRK and drop the hostile policy toward it, far from persistently forcing it to "dismantle its nukes first".

The resolution stressed that the people from all walks of life would positively launch the struggle for peace and reunification by their concerted efforts.
