Long-afterglow Phosphor Developed
Pyongyang, January 27 (KCNA) -- Long-afterglow phosphor has recently been developed by Kim Chaek University of Technology of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

It emits light for more than 16 hours after being exposed to sunshine or other sorts of light for a while.

It, unaffected by heat, sunlight, moisture and climate, is cheaper in production cost than existing luminous materials.

It is also very profitable as it can save a large amount of electric power without giving any damage from radioactive rays.

It can be applied to signposts, road parapets, street lamps, clocks, gauges, electronic goods, toys and so on.

When it is applied to tile, paint, wallpaper, switch and other building materials they become luminous.

It is made by a new method with raw materials and additives available in the country.
