60 years of DPRK-Vietnam Diplomatic Ties Observed
Pyongyang, January 26 (KCNA) -- A photo exhibition and a film show took place at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Corps Club on Tuesday on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the DPRK and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Present there were Jon Yong Jin, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who doubles as chairman of the DPRK-Vietnam Friendship Association, officials concerned, working people in the city and Le Van Cu, Vietnamese ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of his embassy.

Speeches were made at the function.

The speakers referred to the fact that the friendly relations between the two countries provided by President Kim Il Sung and President Ho Chi Minh have grown stronger under the deep care of General Secretary Kim Jong Il and General Secretary Nong Duc Manh.

The participants looked round the photos of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il meeting leaders of Vietnam.

Then, they watched the Korean feature film "A White Gem" (Parts 1 and 2).
