The statement accused the Kyongbuk District Police Office of breaking into the house of Min So Hyon, a member of the "Group of Companions of the Taegu Youth Association in the June 15 Era" on Jan. 19 for a seizure and search operation.

The police committed such a repressive action, asserting it has information that Min has contacts with the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration and is violating the "National Security Law," it charged, and said:

We vehemently denounce the indiscriminate suppressive campaign of the man-killing dictatorial "government" ill-famed for crackdown and tyranny.

Recalling that a countless number of innocent people are falling victims to the suppression perpetrated under the pretext of preserving security due to the dictatorial politics of the present authorities, the statement warned that those seeking to ensure "the stability of power" through suppression are bound to meet a stern judgment by the people.
