Ibrahim Mantu, former deputy president of the Senate who is member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee at the ceremony.

The committee set the period of commemoration from Jan. 15 to Apr. 30 and decided to hold in this period colorful events highly lauding the immortal feats of the peerlessly great persons and supporting the Korean people in their efforts to build a great prosperous and powerful nation and achieve national reunification.
