Field Medical Service Active
Pyongyang, January 21 (KCNA) -- Medical workers of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea have visited working sites from the outset of the year to give on-the-spot medical services to workers and peasants in the effort for implementing the tasks put forward in the joint New Year editorial, issued by leading newspapers of the country.

Doctors of the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital and the Kim Man Yu Hospital are providing medical services to workers at such major light industry factories as the Kim Jong Suk Pyongyang Silk Mill and the Pyongyang Textile Mill.

Such medical care has also been provided to rural communities including Oguk Co-op Farm in Anak County, South Hwanghae Province and Tongbong Co-op Farm in Hamju County, South Hamgyong Province.

Workers of metal, electric power and coal industries and rail transport are enjoying field medical services given by doctors of the Pyongyang University of Medicine Teaching Hospital, Pyongyang Ophthalmic Hospital and Ministry of Public Health Skin-disease Preventive Centre in cooperation with local hospitals and clinics.

The above-mentioned medical workers are also conducting hygienic propaganda activities on site and rendering a large amount of restorative tea, medicines and aid materials to working people.
