DPRK FM Statement Supported
Pyongyang, January 18 (KCNA) -- Mexican political parties and organizations including the People's Socialist Party and the Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism released a joint statement on January 13 in support of the statement of the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The statement said that the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula is the goal of the policy consistently pursued by the government of the DPRK with a view to contributing to peace and security in Northeast Asia and making the world nuclear-free.

It warmly hailed as initiative, constructive and important measure the proposal for an early start of the talks for replacing the Armistice Agreement by a peace treaty this year which marks the lapse of 60 years since the outbreak of the Korean War courteously raised by the DPRK to the parties to AA and fully supported it.

It called on political parties, governments and organizations of all countries in the world to dynamically support the Workers' Party of Korea, the government and people of the DPRK in their struggle to glorify the year 2010 as a year in which the Koreans open a new phase of independent reunification by stepping up the nationwide grand march toward reunification holding the slogan "Let the entire nation unite under the banner of north-south joint declarations and achieve national reunification at the earliest date!" this year that marks the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea, the 10th anniversary of the publication of the historic June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the 30th anniversary of the proposal for the founding of the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo.

The Switzerland-Korea Committee, too, issued a statement on January 12 in support of the statement of the DPRK Foreign Ministry.
