DPRK Acrobats Prove Successful in Intl Acrobatic Festival
Pyongyang, January 14 (KCNA) -- The 26th "Golden Circus" International Circus Festival took place in Rome between Dec. 23 last year and Jan. 10 this year.

The festival brought together excellent acrobats from the DPRK, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Italy and many other countries and regions.

Kim Chol Guk, Hwang Kum Hui, Kim Chol Jun, Ko Myong Hyok and others in their "Aerial Trapeze" successfully presented aerial stunts requiring high technique such as quadruple flip-flap with simultaneous pirouette and treble flip-flap in the air.

The DPRK's "Aerial Trapeze" was awarded Gold Prize of Colosseum, the top prize of the festival, for obtaining the first place at the awarding ceremony held on Jan. 10.

Silver Prize of Colosseum, the prize for the second place, went to the DPRK's "Duet Etude" and Rome City Prize, the prize for the third place, to the DPRK's "Trio Pole Feat".

A "special gold medal of the presidency of the Republic of Italy" to be conferred upon the best group on behalf of the Italian president was awarded to the DPRK acrobatic group.
