Poster Show Opens
Pyongyang, January 13 (KCNA) -- A show of posters calling for thoroughly implementing the militant tasks set forth in the joint New Year editorial of the DPRK's leading newspapers opened at the Pyongyang International Cultural Centre Wednesday.

Put on display are at least 80 posters reflecting the idea and spirit of the joint editorial. They were created by artists of the Mansudae Art Studio, Pyongyang University of Fine Art, the Korean Central Fine Arts Studio and the Fine Art Studio of the Ministry of Railways.

The posters strongly appeal to all the army and people to dynamically conduct a general offensive to improve people's standard of living in hearty response to the noble intention of General Secretary
Kim Jong Il and thus glorify this year marking the 65th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea as a year of prosperity filled with happiness of the people.

Posters including "Let us thoroughly implement the militant tasks set forth in the joint editorial for this year!" and "World, look at us!" vividly show the firm faith and will of the army and people of the DPRK determined to demonstrate the dignity and invincible might of Kim Il Sung's Korea to the world.

There are also posters "Let us bring about a radical turn in the people's standard of living by accelerating the development of light industry and agriculture once again!" "Let us effect a drive to produce more daily necessities!" and "Let us radically increase agricultural production!"

Posters such as "Let us increase production capacity of Juche steel!" "Let us send more freights to all fronts at faster speed!" and "Let us extend the scope of introduction of the CNC technology in the sector of machine-building industry!" vividly reflect tasks facing several domains of the national economy.

Also there are such posters of diverse themes as "Let us achieve the reunification of the country through the unity of the whole nation!" and "Leap higher and faster towards the world!"
