Abolition of Fascist Law Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- The preparatory committee of the Student Committee of the Youth and Students Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration in south Korea issued a statement on Dec. 31 last year in denunciation of the puppet authorities' unwarranted suppression of a patriotic student.

The statement accused the puppet police of walking away by force on Dec. 30 Song Hyo Won, chairperson of the 13th-term (south) Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon) on the charge of violation of the draconic "National Security Law".

It is absolutely unpardonable that the puppet police have staged a campaign for arresting Song, keeping her on a "want list" for several years for the mere reason that she acted as chairperson of Hanchongryon though she struggled for justice and truth, it held, and continued:

Democracy has been stamped out under the present regime and a whirlwind of suppression is rampant on the strength of the NSL. The south Korean society today is a dark society under the reign of dictatorship where a mere talk about justice and truth is banned and all sorts of evil laws are in force.

The present regime would be well advised to bear in mind that the further it intensifies the crackdown upon the patriotic people by use of the dictatorial power, the deeper predicament it will find itself, the statement warned, demanding it immediately set free Song and repeal the NSL, an evil law dating back to the old era.
