U.S. Policy of Arms Expansion under Fire
Pyongyang, December 29 (KCNA) -- Recently the U.S. House of Representatives passed the proposal on the fiscal 2010 defense budget which had been adopted by the Senate, thereby making it possible to spend 636.3 billion dollars for the defense purpose in the next fiscal year.

Minju Joson Tuesday observes in a signed commentary in this regard:

The U.S. is working hard to realize its wild ambition for world domination at any cost. This is the reason why it is so hell-bent on the arms expansion.

By accelerating the modernization of arms and equipment the U.S. seeks to gain an unchallenged position in the military field and lord it over the world on this basis. This wild ambition of the U.S. remains unchanged.

The U.S. is stoking confrontation and arms race for launching more wars at a time when it has become a trend of the times for the world to head for peace, stability, reconciliation and cooperation. This cannot be construed otherwise than an anti-peace action quite contrary to the current of the times.

Under the situation where the U.S. is threatening other countries, openly disclosing its scenario for establishing military supremacy, the world cannot but be embroiled in the U.S. strategy for arms race whether it likes or not.

This goes to prove that the U.S. is the chieftain of arms race as it is engrossed in carrying out its strategy for world domination in disregard of world peace and stability and the arch criminal disturbing world peace and stability.

The U.S. is sadly mistaken if it thinks other countries only will fall victim to its strategy for arms race.

The U.S. should not forget that its spending of such ridiculous amount of funds for war and other military purposes only spawned a financial crisis and drove its economy to catastrophe.

It is as clear as a pikestaff that if the U.S. keeps pursuing its strategy for arms race and military supremacy defying the world's unanimous warnings, it will fall victim to it before any others.

The U.S. would be well advised to give up at once its foolish moves precipitating its destruction.
