DPRK Significant Day Marked
Pyongyang, December 28 (KCNA) -- The Peruvian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism published its bulletin "The twinkling star over the sky of Korea" on Dec. 21 to mark the 18th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 92nd birth anniversary of anti-Japanese heroine Kim Jong Suk.

The bulletin in an article captioned "The birth of everlasting star" introduced the undying feats Kim Jong Suk performed for the country and revolution, noting that she, who is anti-Japanese heroine and a comrade-in-arms most faithful to President Kim Il Sung, was born on Dec. 24, 1917.

It said that the Korean people held Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the KPA supreme commander on Dec. 24, 1991 and that he is providing a sure guarantee for the victorious advance of building a great prosperous and powerful nation by applying the principle of giving priority to the military affairs in the Korean revolution and socialist construction.

In an article titled "Songun is guarantee for peace and security" the bulletin noted that Kim Jong Il has wisely led the army and people of the DPRK to the struggle for defending socialism with his original Songun policy.

If the U.S. dares provoke the Korean people working to build a thriving nation, it will be bound to face a due punishment, it said, stressing that the increased defence capability of the DPRK serves for world peace.

In an article entitled "The DPRK, thriving nation" the bulletin said that Kim Jong Il's field guidance encouraged the Korean people to make another leap forward on all fronts of building a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation.

Meanwhile, the Friendship Society Norway-Korea and the Egypt-Korea Friendship Association, too, issued bulletins on Dec. 22 and 23 in praise of the immortal exploits of Kim Jong Il and the personality of Kim Jong Suk, woman commander of Mt. Paektu, as a great person.
