Performances were given by artistes of art troupes in Pyongyang at its theatres and halls.

The revolutionary drama "Three Pretenders", immortal classical masterpiece created by President Kim Il Sung during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, was staged at the State Theatre.

Artistes of the State Symphony Orchestra gave a concert at the Moranbong Theatre. Put on the stage were such colorful numbers as piano concerto "Cantata to Comrade Kim Jong Il", orchestras "General on a Galloping White Horse" and "Unforgettable Echoes over Lagoon Samil".

The State Folk Art Troupe gave a performance at the Central Youth Hall while the orchestra of the Yun I Sang Music Institute performed at the Yun I Sang Concert Hall.

Physical acrobatics "Seesaw and Swinging", comedic acrobatics "Congratulations" and animal acrobatics "Bear Rope Jumping" and other numbers were staged at the Pyongyang Circus Theatre.

Similar performances took place at theatres in North and South Hamgyong Provinces, North Hwanghae Province and South and North Phyongan Provinces and other local areas.
