Swiss Ambassador Hosts Reception
Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) -- Blaise Godet, Swiss ambassador to the DPRK, arranged a reception at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Corps Club on Monday on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the DPRK and the Swiss Confederation.

Present there on invitation were Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun, Hong Son Ok, vice-chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who is chairwoman of the DPRK-Switzerland Friendship Association, Kim Yong Suk, vice-minister of Agriculture, and officials concerned, diplomatic envoys of various countries and representatives of international organizations here.

On hand were Katharina Zellweger, country director of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in the DPRK, and staff members of the Swiss embassy.

Blaise Godet said at the reception that the Swiss Confederation and the DPRK have boosted the multilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries. He expressed hope that the exchanges and cooperation between the two countries would go on in the future, too.

Pak Ui Chun said in his speech that the DPRK and Switzerland have promoted confidence and developed the bilateral relations in various fields over the past 35 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, expressing belief that the bilateral friendly and cooperative relations would grow stronger.
