Sariwon Martyrs Cemetery Inaugurated
Pyongyang, December 18 (KCNA) -- The Sariwon Martyrs Cemetery was unveiled with due ceremony on Friday.

Buried in the cemetery in scenic Mt. Jongbang are remains of more than 40 martyrs who dedicated their all to the struggle for the liberation of the country and its prosperity and reunification.

Among them are anti-Japanese revolutionary martyrs An Hyong Ik and Ho Sang Gom, anti-Japanese patriotic martyrs Choe Ul Am, Hong Jong Guk, Kim Chol Su, Ri Tong U and Kim Sun Jo, Kim Kang Hyon, a former journalist of the Hwangbuk Ilbo, Won To Jung, a former worker of the construction and sheet metal shop of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, Kim Hyong Jong, ex-chairman of the North Hwanghae Provincial Administrative and Economic Guidance Committee, Choe Ki Chun, ex-manager of the Hwanghae General Tideland Reclamation Enterprise, and Sin Chang Sik, an officer of the Korean People's Army.

Attending the ceremony were leading officials of party and power bodies, economic organs and working people's organizations in North Hwanghae Province, the bereaved families and working people.

They laid wreaths and bouquets at the cemetery before paying silent tribute to the martyrs.
