Japans' Wrong Behavior Blasted
Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- Tanigaki, president of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, said recently when meeting with the U.S. ambassador to Japan that the LDP remains unchanged in its view on the Japan-U.S. relations although it has been turned into an opposition party and these relations become the most important part in Japan's diplomacy. And in a press conference he criticized the present Japanese government's policy toward the U.S. over the issue of transfer of the U.S. military base in Futemma of Okinawa, arguing that it is a big concern to heedlessly overturn the Japan-U.S. agreement as the regime changed.

Meanwhile, Oshima, secretary general of the LDP, censured the government for having expressed its will not to bring before the extraordinary session of the Diet a bill on the Maritime "Self-Defense Force's" continued refueling in the Indian Ocean. He claimed that the Democratic Party's policy only calls for abandonment without presenting any plan for future and that the LDP is determined to submit any bill if the Democratic Party of Japan is not willing to do so.

Commenting on such behavior, Minju Joson Wednesday says that it is a ridiculous conduct of the LDP group obsessed with the anachronistic idea of servility to America and ambition for overseas expansion.

The Japanese public strongly opposes the relocation of the Futemma U.S. military base within Japan and the prolongation of the MSDF's refueling in the Indian Ocean, the signed commentary notes, and says:

As been already known, the DPJ set it as its election pledges to turn the Japan-U.S. relations, subordinate relationship, into "equal relationship" and, after taking office, declared the stand to readjust the "Japan-U.S. security system." To this end, the present government of Japan adopted it as the primary task of its foreign policy to solve the issues of relocation of the Futemma U.S. military base and the MSDF's refueling in the Indian Ocean that have long been the subject of controversy in Japan.

This policy toward the U.S. is fully supported by the public circles of Japan, to say nothing of the inhabitants in Okinawa.

However, the clan of the LDP only persists in the policy of toeing the U.S. line and overseas expansion, turning aside the reality. This is a reckless act of swimming against the trend of the times.

The LDP clan's policy of servility toward the U.S. is a suicide act as this will put Japan under the further tightened U.S. military control and lead it to self-destruction.
