Haeju Martyrs Cemetery Completed
Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- The Haeju Martyrs Cemetery was built at the foot of Mt. Suyang in Haeju City, South Hwanghae Province.

Buried in the cemetery were remains of martyrs and persons of distinguished services who exalted their life in the sacred struggle for the freedom and independence, prosperity and reunification of the country. Tombstones bearing stone pictures were set up.

Among them are Ri Won Son and Kim Nam Sun, anti-Japanese patriotic martyrs, Pak Chun Sik, former chairman of the Sinwon County People's Committee, Ham Won Jang, former chairman of the management board of the Okjong Cooperative Farm in Pyoksong County, Kim Uk Chan, former chairman of the management board of the Saenal Cooperative Farm in Sinchon County, and others.

A completion ceremony took place on Wednesday.

Present there were leading officials of party and power organs and working people's organizations in South Hwanghae Province, bereaved families, builders and working people.

The participants laid wreaths and bunches of flowers before the cemetery and observed a moment's silence in memory of the martyrs.
