DPRK Weightlifter Wins Gold at East Asian Games

| Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- The 5th East Asian Games have been under way in Hong Kong since Dec. 5. On Dec. 7 DPRK weightlifter Kim Un Guk lifted 170 kg in jerk and 140 kg in snatch at the men's 62 kg category event, keeping himself in accurate posture with a single jerk and moment's snatch. He thus bagged a gold medal with a total of 310 kg. He broke the previous records of the East Asian Games -- 169 kg in jerk and a total of 304 kg. |
