S. Korean Authorities Accused of Suppressing KCTU
Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) held a press conference in Seoul on Dec. 6 at which it denounced the authorities for working hard to stamp out the organization, according to south Korean CBS.

Recalling that the so-called "three representatives of workers, the management side and the government" met on Dec. 4 and "agreed" on the revised law on trade unions banning the payment of wages to full time union leaders, etc., the organization termed this meeting collusion aimed at excluding activities of opposition parties and the KCTU in disregard of the workers' rights.

The organization declared that in protest against this unwarranted action it would launch a massive anti-"government" by beginning with rallies in front of each regional office of the "Grand National Party."

It added that in the period of the actions organizations affiliated to the KCTU would stage demonstrations in front of the building of the "National Assembly" and hold big protest rallies in Seoul and other areas.
