S. Korean Troops Hold Maneuvers for Aggression against North
Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- The war-like forces of the south Korean puppet army are these days staging frantic war maneuvers targeted against the DPRK in the area along the forefront, according to a military source.

On Nov. 30 "Ssangryong Unit" of the puppet army kicked off large-scale field mobile exercise involving huge forces, tanks and armored cars with areas of Chunchon and Hwachon of south Korean Kangwon Province as an operational theatre. Armed bandits of the puppet army deployed in the area of Yongphyong-ri, Phochon City of Kyonggi Province staged a frantic actual maneuver to round off the capability for "breaking" through and "infiltrating" into the forefront and "performing combined combat mission" in a coordinated operation with civilians, government and army.

The puppet forces began deploying K-21 infantry combat armored cars at frontline units to be ready to go into action from late in November. On Nov. 27 they put into motion military trucks carrying at least 20,105 mm artillery pieces in the direction of the Military Demarcation Line from Munsan, Phaju City, kicking up war hysteria.

On Dec. 1 and 2 artillery groups and tank units of the puppet army fired more than 200 shells while its armed bandits fired over 12,000 large-caliber machine-gun and automatic rifle bullets, inciting a war atmosphere.

On Dec. 1 formations of helicopter gun ships, assault planes and fighter bombers of the puppet armed forces were busy with drills for airlifting operation, striking targets and an exercise for providing close air support to ground attack units.

The madcap maneuvers for a war of aggression against the north being staged by the war-like forces of the south Korean puppet army in the area along the forefront are a blatant challenge to the desire of all the fellow countrymen for independence and reunification and an intolerable criminal act of straining the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
