Chinese VP Meets KPA Political Officers Delegation
Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- Xi Jinping, vice-president of the People's Republic of China and member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, met and had a talk with the delegation of political officers of the Korean People's Army led by Kim Jong Gak, first vice-director of the KPA General Political Bureau, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Nov. 17.

The vice-president said that the KPA delegation's visit to China would contribute to boosting the friendly and cooperative relations between the armies of the two countries.

The two countries have steadily developed the bilateral friendship while maintaining close relations of cooperation in the protracted revolutionary struggle and socialist construction, he said, adding that the Chinese party and government attach great importance to the friendly relations between the two armies and peoples.

He noted that the armies of the two countries have made great contributions to boosting Sino-DPRK ties of friendship while closely supporting and cooperating with each other.

The army and people of the DPRK have registered big successes in building a great prosperous and powerful nation under the leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, he said, hoping that the Korean people would make greater progress in the future.
