Kimchi-Making for Winter in Full Swing
Pyongyang, November 16 (KCNA) -- Kimchi-making for winter has begun in the DPRK.

When November comes, the Korean people prepare kimchi for winter with care as "a big family event", calling it "food for half a year".

These days lorries loaded with radishes and vegetables can be seen in thoroughfares.

Neighbors are promoting harmonious relations with each other, carrying and cleaning others' vegetables.

Housewives are putting their heart and soul into making watery radish kimchi and vegetable kimchi hotly flavored with spices for the purpose of sharing them with neighbors and winning the top place in the neighborhood unit kimchi show.

What can merit commendation is the skillful hand of the women who are making delicious-looking whole cabbage kimchi, hot pickles of chopped radishes, sliced vegetable kimchi seasoned with pepper and others.

This conspicuous scene can be seen only in Korea where priority is given to the people and the national ways are encouraged.
