Korean People's Struggle Supported in Paraguay
Pyongyang, November 16 (KCNA) -- Pedro Bonifacio Espinoza, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Paraguay, released a statement on November 6 in the lead up to one year since General Secretary Kim Jong Il provided field guidance to the Chollima Steel Complex during which he kindled a torch of a new great revolutionary surge.

The statement recalled that Kim Jong Il, while visiting the complex on December 24 last year, said when Kangson, the cradle of the Chollima movement, seethes with activities, the whole country gets brisk with activities and when the workers of Kangson dash ahead, effecting innovations, it will hasten the advance of the workers throughout the country. He thus called upon the complex to raise high the torch of a new great revolutionary surge, it added.

The above-said torch lit in Kangson is raging throughout the DPRK, the statement noted, and continued:

When the Korean people advance in this spirit, they will certainly fling open the gate to a thriving nation in 2012, the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea, as they determined.

Convinced that December 24 when the torch of a new great revolutionary surge was kindled would be recorded in the history of socialist Korea and remembered by the world progressive people as another significant day, the Communist Party of Paraguay expresses support and solidarity with the Korean people in their struggle to build a thriving nation and achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.
