Creators, Artistes of Meritorious Services Commended
Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- Creators, artistes and officials were officially commended with due ceremony on Wednesday in recognition of their meritorious services rendered for creating the drama "A Sentry under a Neon Lamp".

After a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly was read out, the title of labor hero and gold medal (hammer and sickle) and the Order of National Flag first class and the title of Merited Artiste were awarded to Kim Myong Su, artist of the Phibada Opera Troupe.

Watches bearing the august name of President Kim Il Sung were awarded to section chief Hwang Mun Il, Director Cha Jin Sam and Actress Ryu Yang Suk of the State Theatrical Troupe, and citations of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, to Secretary of the Primary Party Committee of the troupe Kim Ran Ok, Actor Pak Kon Chol and Actress Rim Kwang Sun.

The title of People's Actor went to Actor Kim Su Il and the title of People's Actress to Actress Kim Chun Rim, the titles of Merited Actor to actors Sin Tae Sik, Kim Ul Myong, Mun Chol Ho and Choe Sung Hon and the title of Merited Artist to Director Jang Chan Guk.

The Orders of National Flag first class were conferred upon five persons and Orders of Labor upon 11 persons. Orders and medals also went to many other creators, artistes and officials.
