DPRK Order Awarded to Syrian Economy Minister

Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) -- Order of DPRK Friendship 1st Class was awarded to Amer Hosni Lutfi, minister of Economy and Commerce of Syria, in recognition of his positive contribution to developing friendship and economic cooperation between the DPRK and Syria.

An awarding ceremony took place at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Wednesday.

Present at the ceremony were Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Ri Ryong Nam, minister of Foreign Trade, the DPRK ambassador to Syria, officials concerned, members of the Syrian government economic delegation and the charge d' affaires ad interim of the Syrian embassy here.
