Actions for Frustrating U.S. "Human Rights" Offensive Called for
Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) -- The imperialists are taking issue with the so-called "human rights performance" in other countries while shelving their own hideous human rights abuses. Lurking behind this is a sinister intention to put other countries and nations under their domination under the pretext of "human rights issue."

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says this in a signed article.

It goes on:

The imperialists leave no means untried to realize their ambition for world domination by employing craftier and more desperate methods now that their dominating position is rapidly sinking and the strong-arm policy, a leftover of the outdated era, no longer works.

The "human rights" offensive is one of those methods.

The imperialists are taking issue with the so-called "human rights situations" in other countries in a bid to attain their sinister aims, while behaving as if they were a "world human rights judge" which no country of the world recognizes.

They are intensifying the "human rights" offensive against other countries for the purpose of realizing their ambition for world domination. This offensive is mainly targeted against those countries regarded as their potential rivals and countries strong in their anti-imperialist independent stand. They cook up "human rights abuses" in those countries and internationalize them in a bid to effectively use them for attaining their hegemonic purpose.

The U.S. talks a lot about "human rights issues" of other countries not knowing where it stands. This is nothing but an artifice to obstruct the independent development of those countries and achieve its hegemonic objective.

If the imperialists are truly interested in the human rights issue, they should respect the sovereignty of other countries and stop interfering in their internal affairs.

Those who aspire after independence against imperialism and genuine human rights should further intensify the struggle to check and frustrate the reactionary "human rights" offensive of the imperialists.
