Univ. Students Render Services to Activating Production
Pyongyang, October 27 (KCNA) -- Students of the DPRK are actively taking part in scientific research on working sites.

The members of the student scientific research team of Kim Chaek University of Technology achieved remarkable successes in raising the capability of a direct current contactor for crane needed for putting the production of the UHP electric arc furnace on normal track and in developing an automatic temperature and humidity adjusting device for hatching duck eggs which makes it possible to boost the actual hatching rate two to three times that of the preceding one.

Successes have been reported from those dispatched to the Chollima Steel Complex, the Pyongyang Steel Works and other industrial establishments.

The members of the student scientific research team of Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering developed a 3-D design and imitation programme for flexible shuttle-free loom and applied them to production, thus opening a vista for increasing the scientific accuracy of texture.

Students of Pyongyang University of Computer Science went to the Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex where they made a progress in the development of an image monitoring system for observing electricity production.

Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry has completed many designs necessary for general foodstuff processing factories now under construction in provinces in a short span of time and is giving scientific and technological assistance to their production of facilities on the spot.

The members of the student scientific research team of Pyongyang University of Construction and Building-Materials Industry have creditably completed the designs of objects for the construction of the Pyongyang Minsok (folk) Park with patriotic feelings to shine the fine history of the nation, thus ensuring the construction tempo.

Similar activities are being made by students of Pyongyang University of Railways, Pyongyang University of Agriculture and other universities in local areas.

These activities provide them with a good opportunity to acquire broader knowledge by closely combining study with practice and to strive harder for grasping latest science and technology.
