Solar Cell Street Lamps Donated by China

| Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- Solar cell street lamps were donated by the Chinese embassy here and the Wanxiang Group of China for the Friendship Tower with due ceremony on Monday on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of the entry of the Chinese People's Volunteers into the Korean front and the 50th anniversary of the erection of the tower. Present there were Kim Jong Sik, vice-chairman of the Pyongyang City People's Committee, officials concerned, Liu Xiaoming, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, staff members of his embassy here and the delegation of the group led by Vice-President Han You Hong on a visit to the DPRK. Speeches were made there and the participants looked around the solar cell street lamps. |
