WPK Birthday Celebrated in Different Countries
Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- Friendly meetings, book and photo exhibitions and film shows were held at the DPRK missions in Cuba, Nakhodka of Russia, Uganda, Nigeria, Guinea and Democratic Congo from Oct. 7 to 10 on the 64th birthday of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Displayed in the venues of the functions were works of the peerlessly great persons, photos introducing their immortal exploits and those showing the Korean people in their building of a great prosperous and powerful nation.

Attending the functions were figures of all strata including the representatives of political parties of different countries permanently stationed in Cuba, officials of the Presidential Envoy Office to the Far East Federal District, Foreign Ministry Office in Vladivostok and the Maritime Territorial Committee of the Russian Youth Union, vice-mayors of Nakhodka and Artyom, representatives of the "United Russia" Party, the Maritime Territorial Regional Branch of the Communist Party and the Young Communist League of the Russian Federation, the senior adviser to Presidency of Uganda, the chairman of the Ugandan National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, the chairman of the Kampala City Committee of the Uganda National Resistance Movement, the chairman of the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, the general secretary of the Party for Unity and Progress of Guinea, members of the leadership of the People's Party for the Reconstruction and the Democr acy of Democratic Congo and the secretary general of the African Regional Committee of Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People.

Speeches were made at the functions.

The participants of the film shows watched Korean films including "Army of Korea" and "Reply of Korea".
