Kim Jong Il Meets Participants of Meeting of Non-Commissioned Officers
Pyongyang, September 29 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il met the participants in the national meeting of active non-commissioned officers of the KPA in extra service now under way in Pyongyang and wished them success in the meeting.

He had a photo session with them.

He highly praised the feats of the KPA non-commissioned officers in extra service, saying that they are the persons of faith and conscience as they have believed in and followed the idea and intention of their leader, their supreme commander only with white gem-like pure minds, not seeking any honor and post, the true patriots who are thinking of the interests of the country and the revolution before doing of comfort of themselves and their families and the treasures of the WPK and the KPA as they have rendered great services for increasing the combat capability with their high combat and technical skills and abilities.

He expressed great expectation and conviction that they would devotedly work at the sacred posts defending the country with patriotic zeal and thus make a positive contribution to accomplishing the cause of building a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation and winning a final victory in the Korean revolution.

Present on the occasion were KPA Vice Marshal Kim Yong Chun, vice-chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and minister of the People's Armed Forces, KPA General Kim Jong Gak, member of the NDC of the DPRK and first deputy director of the KPA General Political Bureau, KPA General Ri Yong Ho, chief of the KPA General Staff, KPA Generals Kim Won Hong, Hyon Chol Hae and Ri Myong Su and other commanding officers of the army.
