U.S. Policy for New Cold War under Fire
Pyongyang, September 29 (KCNA) -- The U.S. National Intelligence Agency recently announced its "2009 national intelligence strategy" which labeled the DPRK, China, Russia and Iran as hostile countries capable of challenging the U.S interests, setting out priorities for the nation's intelligence agencies to intensify collecting information on those countries and eradicate "threat" from them.

In this regard Minju Joson Tuesday runs a signed commentary which says:

It hinted that the present U.S. administration would pursue the hostile policy toward the DPRK, China, Russia and Iran, regarding them as foes of the U.S. in political and military aspects in the future.

In the "2009 national intelligence strategy" the U.S. listed the DPRK as a "dangerous country" threatening security of the U.S. and called for "eradication of capabilities." This cannot but be called into question.

The DPRK "program on weapons of mass destruction", much touted by the U.S., is nothing but a fabrication invented to realize its hostile policy towards the DPRK.

Nevertheless, the U.S. is taking issue with the DPRK, calling it a "dangerous country" posing threat to the U.S. security, in a bid to attain its ulterior political aims.

Of late the U.S. has repeatedly talked about "threat" from countries in the Far East. This is because it is much interested in the strategic hegemony over the region rather than feels any threat to its security.

The U.S. Asia strategy may be expressed as policy for new Cold War, in a word.

The military strength is not a monopoly of the U.S., and it will only lead the U.S. to further international isolation and destruction.

The U.S. should at once give up its foolish scheme to turn back history with the anachronistic Cold War policy.
