Russian Chorus Gives Its Premiere in Pyongyang
Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) -- The Russian State Academic People's Chorus Named after M.E. Pyatnichki on a visit to the DPRK gave its premiere here at the Pyongyang Grand Theatre Sunday.

Among the audience were Minister of Culture Kang Nung Su, Vice-Chairperson of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries Hong Son Ok who is chairperson of the DPRK-Russia Friendship Association, officials, creators and artistes in the field of culture and art and staff members of the Russian embassy here.

The chorus put on the stage male chorus "Tanks Are Running across the Fields", chorus "Seven Sons-in-Law" and other numbers in which the performers truthfully represented in voice of great volume the Russian people's love for the country and their life and sentiments.

In dance "Dance with Whips", song and dance "Before a Fireplace," instrumental music "Valenki" and other numbers they displayed beautiful rhythms, smart skills, well-organized ensembles and refined musical technique.

They sang well Korean song "Arirang", making the performance conspicuous.
