"Selected Works of Kim Jong Il" Vol. 2 (Enlarged Edition) Off Press
Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- The Workers' Party of Korea Publishing House brought out "Selected Works of Kim Jong Il" Vol. 2 (enlarged edition), a comprehensive compilation of his famous works.

It carries 57 works made public by Kim Jong Il from June 20, Juche 53 (1964) to August 22, Juche 57 (1968) in the early period of his start of work at the WPK Central Committee.

In his works including "Let Us Strengthen and Develop Our Party into the Party of Comrade
Kim Il Sung for All Ages" he clarified ideas and theories for organizationally and ideologically strengthening the WPK in order to accomplish the revolutionary cause of President Kim Il Sung holding him in high esteem.

Also carried in the book are works giving unique and perfect answers to the principled problems arising in increasing national defence capability including the validity of the revolutionary line of the WPK for simultaneously building up economy and defence and the issue for all the people and servicepersons to get ready politically and ideologically and carry out the military line for self-defence and theoretical and practical problems arising in economy, education, literature and art.

"The Democratic National Rights of Our Compatriots in Japan Must Be Completely Guaranteed", "Let Us Strengthen Friendship and Solidarity with the Newly-Emergent Countries" and other works expound the issue on the need for Koreans in Japan to carry out the Juche-oriented line of the movement of Koreans in Japan clarified by the President and the principled stand of the WPK on strengthening friendship and unity with the newly-emerging countries and solidarity against imperialism and ways to do so.

The book carries works dealing with tasks of leading officials to look after people's living with responsibility as their own mothers would do and the tasks of improving commodity supply and developing sports technique of the DPRK onto a high level as early as possible.
