Before the start of the march, they held a press conference at the Jeju Island Assembly on the same day.

The speakers at the press conference called for thoroughly implementing the said declarations in order to improve the inter-Korean relations.

They declared they would conduct the grand bicycle march in different parts of south Korea from Jeju Island to Kangwon Province of south Korea, prompted by the desire for peace and reunification.

This grand march will help boost the desire of the people for improving the inter-Korean relations as early as possible through the implementation of the declarations, they added.
