Songdowon Youth Open-air Theater Facelifted
Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- The Songdowon Youth Open-air Theater has been spruced up amazingly as an edifice of the Songun era in Wonsan City, Kangwon Province on the east coast of Korea.

The roof and eaves of the theater, with over 3,000 stair-shaped seats, were newly constructed and ornamental elements were attached to its exterior, keeping it as it was. The newly renovated theatre goes well with the landscape, preserving its modern style.

The theater has a central hall, stage, projection, makeup and musical instrument rooms and others.

Embossed on the front-wall of the central hall are magnolias, the national flower of Korea, and on its centre are the royal azaleas on Chol Pass, one of the eight Songun sceneries as a main picture.

The theater has all conditions for mass rally, lecture, forum, various kinds of meetings, art performance, film show and so on to suit the characteristics of youth and children.
