New Protective Spectacles
Pyongyang, September 23 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il visited the then Hwanghae Iron Works on one day of May, Juche 55 (1966).

Watching perspiration-soaked smelters looking into a furnace, he took protective spectacles from a smelter and asked him whether it could completely protect eyes.

As the worker replied that eyes were protected, he personally guessed what irritation the light of burning molten iron had on eyes. And then he said that the eyes were important for everybody, particularly more important for the smelters, stressing that money should not be stinted to protect the eyes of smelters.

He, who worried about the eyesight of the smelters, stressed that better protective spectacles should be provided to them, and left the working site.

So, new protective spectacles have been supplied to the smelters every year.
