"Giant Footprints of Woman Commander of Mt. Paektu" Off Press
Pyongyang, September 23 (KCNA) -- The Kum Song Youth Publishing House brought out the book "Giant Footprints of Woman Commander of Mt. Paektu" on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of demise of anti-Japanese heroine Kim Jong Suk.

The book deals with some of the revolutionary battle sites and revolutionary sites associated with the exploits of Kim Jong Suk together with photos in a chronological order of her revolutionary activities.

The book is divided into the part dealing with the revolutionary battle sites during the anti-Japanese armed struggle and the part dealing with the revolutionary sites in the period of building a new country after the liberation.

The first part gives a detailed account of the log cabin which housed the headquarters of the revolution where President Kim Il Sung led the overall Korean revolution from the latter half of the 1930s to the first half of the 1940s after choosing its site and leader Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the Paektusan secret camp and the revolutionary battle sites in the areas of Mt. Paektu, Phungsan, Sinpha, Yonsa, Musan, Sinhung, Rangrim and so on associated with the revolutionary activities of Kim Jong Suk.

The second part of the book deals with historic facts about the energetic activities conducted by Kim Jong Suk in Pyongyang, South Phyongan Province, North Hamgyong Province, South Hwanghae Province, Kangwon Province and other places to arouse the broad masses to building a rich and powerful country true to the intention of Kim Il Sung.

The book stresses that the revolutionary battle sites and revolutionary sites which bear witness to the exploits of Kim Jong Suk are wealth of eternal value of the Korean revolution and treasures of Songun Korea for all ages.
