Speakers at the meeting said that it is a pressing task to rid the Korean Peninsula of the danger of war and ensure its peace and security. To this end it is necessary to force the U.S. imperialists and their followers to roll back their hostile policies toward the DPRK, get the U.S. forces and its nuclear weapons withdrawn from south Korea and its vicinity and replace the Armistice Agreement by a peace accord, they stressed.

They called for boosting the movement for unity and solidarity with the peace-loving peoples and organizations of the world in order to achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea and ensure global peace and security.

Then the attendants looked round the photos on how the U.S. imperialists provoked the Korean war and their atrocities as well as those on the heroic struggle of the army and people of the DPRK and the solidarity activities of the world peace-loving people.

Present there were the vice-chairman of the National Peace Committee of Korea and the vice-chairman of the Korea Committee for Solidarity with the World People, officials concerned and working people in the city.
