There was first a competition in reunification papers.

The participants heard papers on diverse themes reflecting the will to achieve reunification written by many youth and students of different universities and youth organizations.

Papers noted that the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration are the programmes for reunification as they indicate the most just and reasonable principles and ways for achieving national prosperity and reunification. They stressed the need to firmly uphold and thoroughly implement the south-north declarations, give proper reunification-oriented education in the spirit of the June 15 joint declaration and dynamically conduct the work for south-north reconciliation and cooperation.

Then followed colorful events including a "contest in learning by heart the June 15 joint declaration", a "meeting for literary and art activities for reunification", an oratorical contest and a book, photo and painting exhibition.
