North Hwanghae Provincial Art Theater
Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- A new art theater has been built in Sariwon City, North Hwanghae Province to give a great joy to the people of the province.

The theater, with a total floor space of over 15,000 square meters and a seating capacity of more than 900, has an auditorium, stage, modern sound and illumination facilities, makeup rooms, instrumental, vocal, dance and narration training rooms and other conditions needed for artistic creation, performance and appreciation.

The central hall fascinates the visitors for the radiantly shining ceiling chandeliers and side-wall decorations which form an artistic harmony. Described on its frontal wall are Kimilsungia and Kimjongilia, flowers of the Sun.

The two-storeyed auditorium was arranged to fully meet the requirement and convenience of the audience.

The chairs of the auditorium are peculiar, the walls are dressed with sound absorption boards to give stereophonic space and the air conditioning system on the ceiling makes the audience see performance without feeling lassitude.

The sound-mixing console room and illumination control room are also furnished in a modern way in accordance with the requirement of the new century.

The sound-mixing console room ensures the sound on a high level so that the vocal artists can sing songs to suit individual characteristics and the stage is also arranged for successful performance.

With the construction of the provincial art theatre, centre for cultural and emotional life, which satisfies the requirements of the modern aesthetic sense and architecture, the inhabitants of the province can enjoy to their hearts' content the happy life as the creator and enjoyer of the socialist culture in the Songun era.
