Week of DPRK Film Show Held in China
Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- DPRK films were shown before full houses in China on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the DPRK and China.

A ceremony for opening the week of the DPRK film show took place at the New Century Cinema in Beijing on Sept. 11.

Attending the ceremony were the vice-director of the State Administration of Radio, Film and TV of China, officials in the filmdom and masses.

Present there were the delegation of DPRK film workers led by the vice-chairman of the State Film Commission on a visit to China, the DPRK ambassador to China and his embassy officials.

The vice-director of the State Administration of Radio, Film and TV of China and the head of the delegation of DPRK film workers made speeches at the opening ceremony.

The speakers expressed belief that the week of the film show would help increase the understanding of the DPRK among new generations and inject fresh vitality into further boosting the traditional friendship between the two countries in the new century. And they vowed to continue to develop the cooperation in the field of film-making amid the concern of the top leaders of the two countries.

Then, the participants watched the DPRK film "The Flower Girl".

"A Bellflower", "A Schoolgirl's Diary", "The Country I Saw" and other DPRK films were screened in the period of the week of the film show that ended on Sept. 15.

The places of the film shows were overcrowded with audience who hardly repressed their excitement.
