Delegation of LPRP Feted
Pyongyang, September 16 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea gave a reception at the Mansudae Assembly Hall Tuesday in honor of the delegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party on a visit to the DPRK.

Present there on invitation were the delegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party headed by Asang Laoly, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the LPRP and chairman of the Control Commission of its Central Committee who is vice-prime minister and president of the State Inspection Commission of Laos, and Chaleune Warinthrasak, ambassador of Laos to the DPRK.

Present there were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, Ri Tuk Nam, vice-chairman of the Control Commission of the C.C., the WPK and officials concerned.

Choe Thae Bok noted in his speech that the WPK and people are pleased with the fact that the Lao people have achieved a lot of successes in their efforts to implement the decisions of the 8th party congress under the leadership of the LPRP headed by Choummaly Saynasone.

He stressed that it is the common desire of the two peoples to boost the friendly relations between the two parties and two countries provided by President Kim Il Sung and Kaysone Phomvihane.

He expressed belief that the friendly relations between the two parties and two countries would grow stronger thanks to their concerted efforts.

Asang Laoly said in his speech that the DPRK has made eye-opening progress thanks to the correct line and policies of the WPK which has held Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il in high esteem.

He referred to the Korean people's energetic endeavors to open the gate to a thriving socialist nation in 2012, the centenary of birth of Kim Il Sung.

He emphasized the Lao party, government and people wish the party, government and people of the DPRK greater successes.
