Drama "A Sentry under a Neon Lamp" Goes On
Pyongyang, September 12 (KCNA) -- Drama "A Sentry under a Neon Lamp" is being given in Pyongyang.

It has been staged more than 30 times, evoking lively responses from among audiences.

The performers truthfully represented soldiers of a unit of the Chinese People's Liberation Army tasked to guard just liberated Shanghai City. The drama vividly and impressively depicts the struggle to keep them free from the influence of the harmful trend spread by enemies in the Nanjing Avenue brightly lit by neon lights, underscoring its cognitive and educational value.

Scenes of the drama showing those people allowing themselves to be disarmed due to "sugar-coated shells" though once they braved any hail of the enemy bullets and shells teach a serious lesson to the audience that if one falls victim to the reactionary bourgeois ideological poisoning and is taken to the Western way of living, one cannot protect one's destiny and the triumphant revolution.

The drama deeply impressed the audience as it truthfully represented the army-people relations, the officer-soldier ties and the military-political relations in the revolutionary army and the sentiment and emotion of the characters.

A high level of acting of the performers including their narrative skill as well as truthful stage decor won the admiration of the audience.
