He said in the statement that President Kim Il Sung founded the DPRK, a truly independent and sovereign state in which the popular masses have become the master of the country and developed it into a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence, thereby setting a shining example of the nation-building. The immortal exploits performed by the President will remain shining forever, he added.

The DPRK has advanced, unfazed by all sorts of challenges of the imperialists and trials, and greeted a new heyday of building of a thriving socialist nation as it is led by General Secretary Kim Jong Il, an outstanding statesman and iron-willed commander, he noted.

He extended full support and solidarity to the just cause of socialist Korea.
