Struggle against Imperialists' "Globalization" Called for
Pyongyang, September 5 (KCNA) -- Making the whole world independent has become a common aspiration and vital desire of the world people, says Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a signed article.

A brisk struggle of the people is now under way worldwide for independence, progress and peace against the imperialists' military intervention and war moves and a struggle is gaining momentum to realize regional merger and integration, the article notes, and goes on:

The dynamic struggle for independence against imperialism now under way worldwide goes to prove that no desperate efforts on the part of the imperialists can ever hold in check the advance of history.

In order to bring earlier global independence it is necessary to defend the cause of socialism and forcefully advance the human cause of independence.

The imperialists' moves for "globalization" should be decisively frustrated to accomplish the cause of global independence.

It is important to shatter the imperialists' high-handed and arbitrary practices and their moves for hegemony and establish a new international order based on justice, equality and impartiality.

One should not harbor any illusion about imperialism but resolutely struggle against it, maintaining a principled stand.

The world progressive countries and people should attach importance to military affairs and direct primary efforts to the national defence construction to bolster up the nation's defence capability.

If the cause of global independence is to make a victorious advance all the countries of the world desirous of independence should firmly maintain independence in their state activities.

It is the consistent stand and policy of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government to struggle for global independence.

The Korean people will as ever wage a dynamic struggle in unity with the world progressives to make a positive contribution to accomplishing the cause of global independence.
