Fine Art Exhibition Opens
Pyongyang, September 3 (KCNA) -- An opening ceremony of the fine art exhibition of Pyongyang University of Fine Arts took place at the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium on Thursday.

On display there are at least 490 art works produced by teachers, creators and students of the university.

Korean paintings "First fruit of cooperativization" and "First gun salute heralding the appearance of a thriving nation", oil painting "Calling on us to live up to the trust of Comrade Commander" and other works impressively deal with traces of the patriotic devotion left by the three commanders of Mt. Paektu.

Korean painting "Fireworks of a thriving nation" and oil painting "We shall win" and other works successfully depict the sky-high spirit and struggle of all the servicepersons and people making a general advance towards the gate to the thriving nation.

Oil painting "New appearance of Nyongwon", sculpture "furnaceman" and pencil drawing "Bust of a miner" and other works deal with magnificent edifices that sprang up in the Songun era and innovators working miracles and feats in work sites for an economic power everyday.

Also on display there are works on the happiness of the Korean people and the scenery of the country being turned into a socialist land of bliss and diverse industrial art designs.

Present at the ceremony were Kang Nung Su, minister of Culture, officials concerned, teachers, creators and students of the university and working people in the city.
